GTO & Kronos Quartet Play Moondog
Since our last show at Le Poisson Rouge in February 2020, we’ve been remotely mixing a new record in collaboration with legendary Kronos Quartet reimagining the music of Louis Hardin aka Moondog. Moondog was a composer, poet, and instrument builder who lived on the streets of NYC through the ‘50s, ‘60s, and ‘70s until moving to Germany in 1974. He wrote hundreds of beautiful madrigals, songs, and symphonies and inspired Philip Glass, Steve Reich, and many others.
Recording Album #5
We’ve been in the studio this week recording Album #5, a set of highly original arrangements by Brian Carpenter, Andy Laster, Curtis Hasselbring, Maxim Moston, Matt Bauder, and Rob Garcia reimagining the music of Louis Hardin aka Moondog.
Ghost Train Orchestra Plays Moondog
