Spiegeltent at the Fisher Center - Bard College
Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, Manor Ave
Trumpeter Brian Carpenter leads the inspired Ghost Train Orchestra - a little big band renowned for performing almost-forgotten musical gems - in a concert of music from their critically-acclaimed records Hothouse Stomp and Hot Town, the unearthed works of the lesser-known and rarely-heard composers and band leaders that served as fixtures of the dance halls, speakeasies, and nightclubs of the late prohibition-era years of the Southside of Chicago and Harlem.
The Spiegeltent, an internationally renowned destination of magic and mayhem, has surprises in store all summer long. Enchanted evenings await with unforgettable performances of cabaret and jazz, food and drink, and dancing under the sparkling lights of the historic tent of mirrors.
